Private English Tutoring

Direct Speech offers private tutoring for high school students and primary students. Field has three degrees in education and 40 years’ experience as an English tutor. She tutors Grade 5 and up to and including Year 12. Field has been a senior mistress at Chadstone High, a coordinator and Head of English at Waverley High and for 11 years at Mount Scopus College. Field’s students achieve consistently high results. She has been an external marker for VCE and has chosen texts for her school as well as introduced curriculum changes to enhance the English program.

Her students love the way she tutors, commenting that she really knows how to teach grammar, essays, comprehension and creative writing. Of course, her students all do well in the oral components too.

Field can teach reading, writing, essay structure, essay planning, Literature, and even English Language.

Field does one –on –one or zoom session with students all over Australia. Some of her students even travel two hours by train for sessions.
