Public speaking tutoring is a three session course in which your needs are met in this often scary skill. The course is short and effective. The aim is to shift you from where you are to where you want to be.

The art of public speaking can be learned. It is an art and requires knowledge of how to engage your audience, how to tell stories, how to structure a speech, so they can follow. It’s more about the body and the voice, than the words themselves. It’s about using descriptive language so your audience can picture what you say. It’s about logic and feelings. And it’s about pauses.

Self-confidence is something you can gain. Sometimes you have to fake it, till you make it. However, when you do Judith Field’s public speaking course, you will feel much more confident. You will know what to do if you lose your place. You will know what to do if you feel nervous and you will learn how to keep going, confidently.

On Line courses. Today with zoom, you can take a course with anyone, anywhere in the world. If you live in rural Australia or Victoria, you can sit at home and take one of my courses. So, it does not matter whether you are next door or on the other side of Melbourne, Direct Speech can help you.

The DVD and book and CD Speech Matters are full of practical tips, exercises and humour. It deals with the basics as well as debating, running meetings, occasional speeches and interviews. The book is $30 and the DVD and CD are $100 for both.
